As people of faith and fierce love, we insist upon several premises which call us to strive to make a difference with love:
We operate out of a theology of abundance, not scarcity. God provides, and there is and always will be enough for all to thrive.
Our doctrine of creation insists that all are made in Gods’ image. Living alongside fellow humans and creation is sacramental and holy work. Everybody counts.
Love of our neighbor is central. “Who is my neighbor?” and “How shall I be a neighbor?” are critical and ongoing conversations that call for action.
Living in community involves sacrifice. Sacrifice, literally “to make holy,” is the act of giving up something for the sake of something or someone else.
